The movies starts with a heavy Philadelphia trafiic when the city is attacked by the zombies. Gerry lane his wife and their two daughters are also stuck in the same traffic. They escape to New Jersey and take regugee in an appartment. Meanwhile Thierry Umotoni - an old friend of Gerry lane sends a helicopter to extract the Lanes family to a US navy vessel where different scientists and military personnels are working to analyze and eradicate the zombie outbreak. Gerry travels to South Korea, Jerusalem, Israel, Wales and finally becomes able to develop the vaccine against the zombies derived from the deadly pathogens.
